NZ Child Asthma Guidelines 2020


The purpose of the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ Child Asthma Guidelines is to provide simple, practical and evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis, assessment and management of asthma in children (aged 11 and under) in a quick reference format.

Warning note - Montelukast
Montelukast may be associated with behaviour change and sleep disturbance in children. In adolescents, there is a risk of suicidal ideation and self harm. Montelukast should be used with caution under 18y and carers advised to stop the medication if there are concerns.
